Family Movie Night on Friday, Nov. 8, at 6:00 PM

Join us for Family Movie Night on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6:00 PM!

The event begins in the church lobby with a pizza potluck dinner. Good Shepherd orders the pizza, and we encourage families to bring a side or dessert to share. Fun preschool toys will be available in the lobby classroom for kids to play with while they wait for showtime (or whenever they would like a break from the film!).

The movies will begin around 6:30 PM. “The Lion King” (the new, “live-action” version from this past summer) will play on the big screens in the church sanctuary and on the TV in the lobby, which overlooks the play area. “A Dog’s Journey” will play on the screens in the newly renovated Shepherd’s Hall.

The Parent Meeting begins promptly at 6:30 PM in the church sanctuary (where we held Parent Orientation). At the conclusion of the Parent Meeting, parents will meet with their child's teachers in their classrooms.

Tuesday, Oct. 1, 6:30-7:30 PM: All Tuesday/Thursday classes
Wednesday, Oct. 2, 6:30-7:30 PM: All Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Monday-Friday Classes

Please note that Back to School Night is a caregivers-only event. There will not be activities for young children.

Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2:00-4:00 PM

Join us on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2:00-4:00 PM, for a child-friendly Halloween celebration here at Good Shepherd! We will have crafts, games, and a Halloween-themed photo booth available inside for the first hour, followed by trick-or-treating in the parking lot. Volunteers will hand out yummy treats and fun surprises from decorated car trunks. Make sure to stop by the preschool’s trunk, hosted by Mrs. Coxson, who will have a special treat for your child! Be sure to dress your child in their Halloween costume for this event (parents can dress up, too, of course!).

Please note that due to space constraints, this is an event for the Good Shepherd community only (preschool and church member families).

Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, Oct. 6, 4:00 PM

Shared from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church:

We invite the community to join us for a special "Blessing of the Animals" service on Sunday, October 6. The simple service will be at 4:00 pm in the church parking lot. Join us as we thank God for the gifts of companionship and beauty which animals and pets bring to our lives and homes and ask God's blessing on them. And, of course - bring your pet!

You don’t have to be a church member to enjoy this event. Milo and Gus (the pups in the picture) hope to see you there!
