On Tuesday September 24, a funeral for one of the victims of the Navy Yard shooting will be held at 11:00am in the Good Shepherd Sanctuary. While this should not affect 9:30 drop-off of preschool students, the parking lot may be congested at 12:00, 12:30, 1:30 and 3:00.
The church has requested that all preschool families enter and exit by the Rt. 355 (S. Frederick Rd) entrance to the parking lot and avoid the driveway which goes past the main entrance to the church. This will require that parents who come from the south (Rockville area) proceed past S. Westland Dr., turn into the parking lot at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church and then come south on Rt. 355 to gain entrance to the parking lot. Please note that there are no U-turns at the streets immediately after the church, so you will need to go into Gaithersburg Presbyterian’s parking lot in order to come back down to GSLP.
Should parking become extremely limited, GSLP will initiate “drive-by” drop-off and pick-up.
