REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Good Shepherd Preschool is currently accepting applications for openings remaining for Fall 2012 enrollment. Contact GSLP at gslp91@hotmail.com for information about availability.
An application for the 2012-2013 school year can be found on this website in the 2012-2013 file under the "forms" tab. To register for the 2012-2013 school year, complete and mail the application, along with a check for one months tuition (see registration form) plus $70 in registration, activity, and tote bag fees to: Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool, Attn: Preschool Administrator, 16420 S. Westland Dr., Gaithersburg, Md 20877.
If classes fill before a student can be enrolled, the all fees will be refunded and the student placed on a wait list. There will be no refund of registration or activity fees for a child enrolled in a class. Tuition will be refunded if written notification of withdrawal is received by the Preschool prior to May 1, 2012.
General Preschool Information
The staff of Good Shepherd Preschool is delighted that you are interested in our Maryland State Department of Education accredited program for two through five year old students. Our low student-teacher ratios and self-contained classrooms create an ideal learning environment. We hope you will visit the school to observe our developmentally appropriate program and warm, caring, Christian environment. Information on visiting GSLP and on registering for the 2012-2013 school year can be found in the following paragraphs.
Visiting Good Shepherd
Good Shepherd’s staff encourages parents to visit while classes are in session. During a 20 minute visit, parents may observe a class which corresponds to their child’s projected placement for the upcoming year. In addition, parents may tour other classrooms to gain an understanding of the entire preschool experience.
Preschool age children may not accompany their parents during the classroom observation portion of the tour. Younger siblings (babies and young toddlers) are welcome to remain with their parents during the observation period.
To ensure that an age-appropriate classroom can be observed during the tour, parents should schedule their visit by contacting Good Shepherd at 301-963-1955 or gslp91@hotmail.com.
Registration for the 2012-2013 School Year

To register for the 2012-2013 school year, complete and mail the application, along with a $65 check for registration and activity fees, to: Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool, Attn: Preschool Administrator, 16420 S. Westland Dr., Gaithersburg, Md 20877.
Completed applications and fees received at the Preschool by February 6, 2012 will be registered on February 7, 2012. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church members, families with a child currently enrolled in Good Shepherd Preschool, and Good Shepherd alumni families receive priority placement in that respective order. After placement of the priority applicants, all other students submitting mail-in registration forms will be placed in classes using a random placement process. Registrations received after February 6 will be accommodated if space remains. All registrants will be notified of class placement by February 10. A payment of 1/9 of the annual tuition is due by February 17. In addition, all new students are required to purchase a school tote bag for $5. Once the tuition payment has been received by the Preschool, a packet of paperwork will be provided to the enrollee’s family. All forms and a second tuition payment must be returned to the Preschool by August 1, 2012.
